Meet Kate
A place to pause, be yourself, and figure out what’s next.
Hey, I’m Kate — therapist, clinical supervisor, and the person behind The Journey, PLLC.
I believe therapy starts with real connection. Life rarely follows a straight line, and sometimes you end up feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unsure, or just ready for something to change. My job isn’t to tell you where to go. It’s to walk alongside you while you figure it out.
I work with adults navigating substance use, anxiety, depression, stress, emotional exhaustion, life transitions, and identity exploration. I’m especially interested in supporting people through the messy in-between moments—changing careers, exploring sexuality or gender, leaving a high-control environment, or realizing that the life you’re living doesn’t quite fit anymore.
I also support young adults and adults with Down syndrome as they navigate relationships, communication, independence, stress, and life’s many transitions.
No perfect path required.
Just bring yourself, your story, and wherever you happen to be right now. We’ll start there.
Therapy should feel like a place to exhale.
You don’t need the perfect words. You don’t need a plan. And you definitely don’t need to have your whole life figured out before you start.
We’ll slow things down, get curious about what’s going on, and figure out what matters most to you. Together, we’ll explore the tools, perspectives, and strategies that can help you move forward—at a pace that feels right.
Your experiences, values, and goals are at the center of our work.
Because you’re not a diagnosis or a problem to solve. You’re a whole person with a story worth understanding.

Confidentiality & Safety
The Journey is a safe, affirming, and judgment-free space for LGBTQIA+ clients and anyone figuring out who they are, where they’re going, or what comes next.
Everything shared in therapy is confidential, with a few legal and safety exceptions that will be clearly explained at the start of our work together.
I work in line with professional ethical guidelines to ensure your safety and wellbeing are always prioritised.
Therapy should feel like a space where you can breathe, be honest, and be yourself.
During our sessions, I care about creating a space that feels:
Safe & judgment-free
Calm & steady, especially when things feel hard
Honest, but never overwhelming
Respectful of your boundaries, choices, and autonomy
You’re always in the driver’s seat. My role isn’t to tell you where to go—it’s to support you along the way.
What Matters to Me
Start with a conversation
You don’t need a plan, a diagnosis, or even know if therapy is right for you yet.
Just start with a conversation. No pressure, no expectations, no commitment required. When you’re ready, I’m here.
